I am starting this group because I do not see enough Meetups in Castle Rock for art and crafters. I am an art teacher who teaches kids, and I have so many interests and would love to share with others. Most of us are so busy we don't have time to just create, so my goal for this Meetup group is get some dates set and have members set dates to create and teach as well.

In today’s world, children are growing up at an increasingly fast pace with new forms of competition emerging every day. Modern children spend much of their time either being sped about in cars, muscling their way through crowded schools and daycares or otherwise being separated from their primary caregivers. Their caregivers are even more pressed for time and true attentiveness due to the demands of careers, financial burdens and ongoing technology races pulling at their senses. These are just …

I would appreciate being with people that are willing to sit down and create something. I create but it is so solitary and I would like to be with others that would like to bounce ideas off each other and craft. We can do jewelry, we can do recycled art, we can do shadowboxes, we can do challenges and submit to magazines. I am looking for a dedicated group that is willing to have fun and create.
